Who collects your data

What data we collect
Visit analytics. We use Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager to understand how our site is used: pages viewed, visit duration, traffic source, device type, browser, language. This information is collected in anonymised and aggregated form. No personally identifiable data (name, email) is collected by default.
Call bookings. When you book a discovery call on book.hexonasystems.mu, we collect: your name, your email address, your phone number if provided, and the information you share about your company. This data is stored on the self-hosted booking platform in Mauritius.
Direct messages. If you contact us by email (hello@hexonasystems.mu) or WhatsApp, we keep the conversation history to respond to your request and follow up.
Why we collect this data
Site improvement: aggregate analytics help us understand which content is useful and which needs work.
Responding to you: if you contact us or book a call, we need your details to reply.
Commercial follow-up: if we start a project together, we keep records to maintain continuity.
Legal basis (DPA 2017): your consent (cookies) or your explicit request (contact forms, call booking).
Third parties we use
Google (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager): visit analytics. Data handled under Google's privacy policy.
Cal.com: call booking platform, self-hosted by us in Mauritius (book.hexonasystems.mu).
We never sell your data. We do not share it with third parties for commercial purposes.
How long we keep your data
Aggregate analytics data: 26 months (Google Analytics default).
Call bookings and messages: as long as the commercial relationship requires, plus 5 years after the last contact for accounting and tax purposes.
Cookies: depending on type, up to 24 months maximum.
Your rights (DPA 2017)
Under Mauritius' Data Protection Act 2017, you have the right to:
Access the data we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate data.
Delete your data (except where legal retention is required).
Object to processing.
Receive your data in a portable format.

If you feel your rights are not respected, you can contact the Mauritius Data Protection Commissioner: dataprotection@govmu.org.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page indicates the last modification. For any major change, we will announce it on the homepage.
